Fausta 2011 Reserve

  • Appellation: Sonoma Valley
  • Review: Give this Cabernet 6–8 years in the cellar. It’s tough and gritty in tannins. Underneath the astringency is quite a fine wine, filled with blackberry and black currant flavors, with earthier notes of green olives and sage and relatively modest alcohol. -S.H.

Fausta 2011

  • Appellation: Sonoma Valley
  • Review: Made in a tighter, drier, lower alcohol style, this Cab shows a precision and control that riper, more opulent Cabs seldom display. It’s also quite food-friendly. That’s not a slap, it’s a compliment. You’ll find classic blackberry and currant flavors layered with oak. - S.H.
